PTA Roster

PTA President

PTA Co-Presidents supervise the affairs of Brookwood PTA. Responsibilities include presiding over all meetings of both the PTA Executive Board (held monthly) and the General Membership (held quarterly). The Co-Presidents coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the PTA to ensure objectives and goals are met and act as liaisons between the PTA, Brookwood families, and School Principal Teddi Pendland. 

President-Elect

PTA President-Elect leads the PTA membership drive; maintains the PTA bulletin board in the central foyer; serves as co-chair of the Nominating Committee to recruit both Executive Board and General Board members for the following year; serves as liaison to the Brookwood Education Foundation, attending their monthly meetings; attends Executive Board meetings and works closely with the president(s) to learn as much as possible for the following year.  

1st Vice President

The 1st Vice President plans Veterans Day activities; recognizes all staff without room parents during Teacher Appreciation week; coordinates the annual Senior Pizza Party, honoring Brookwood alumni who are High School seniors.  

2nd Vice President

The 2nd Vice President performs semi-annual audits of the books and serves as chair of the Nominating Committee for the Executive Board Officers and General Board positions.  The Second Vice President assists with preparation/presentation of the annual budget and oversees all Brookwood PTA non-Auction fundraising activities.

3rd Vice President

The 3rd Vice President oversees and updates the website and social media and provides communication support for the PTA.  

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the authorized custodian of the funds of the Brookwood PTA. The Treasurer receives and disburses money, assists with preparation of the annual budget, and makes a financial statement at all Executive Board, General Board and General Membership meetings. 

Secretary

The Secretary attends all Executive and general membership meetings and records topics discussed at each meeting for future reference.   In addition, the Secretary compiles all calendars, activities and events in a notebook for reference at each meeting.

Auction Chair(s)/Fundraising Chair

The Auction Chairs organize, fundraise and coordinate the auction committees, as well as event plan for our primary PTA fundraiser and social event for Brookwood parents and community members.  This position is every other year.

The Fundraising Chair will offset non-auction years to provide a variety of fundraisers for our families throughout the year.    

They both manage all of the working parts to ensure we have a great time, but also raise the necessary funds to pay for PTA programming, activities, clubs and to donate to BEF.  

Historian

This position collects and maintains mementos and items throughout the year to save for the Pizza party and future alumni functions.
