Veteran’s Day Ceremony

One of the most meaningful compliments that the Brookwood community receives all year, is the feedback we get from veterans who attend our annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony, noting that they are impressed with the scope and heartfelt effort dedicated to this important event.

Students are encouraged to invite a family member, neighbor or friend who has served in the military. These guests of honor are recognized during the ceremony as the students perform the various military anthems for each branch of service. In addition, our students perform an entire program of patriotic songs for this special day.

The program also features a keynote speaker and students from the Brookwood Scouts units who conduct the color guard ceremony. Afterwords, family and honored guests are invited to stay for a breakfast buffet of homemade treats, juice and coffee. Most significantly, the students benefit from seeing members of the military and veterans recognized and honored.
